Google Pixel 9: AI-Enabled Call Recording & Transcription Revealed
A new artificial intelligence feature of the Google Pixel 9 has been revealed. The new Pixel phones will have the ability to record incoming calls on iPhones with iOS 18.
During the WWDC 2024 event, Apple announced a new release that will help iPhones record, transcribe, and summarize calls using the Apple Intelligence feature. This feature is also rumored to be included in the upcoming Pixel 9 series.
Pixel 9’s Call Notes Feature
According to a new report, Google will introduce the AI-powered Call Notes feature with the Pixel 9 series. The Pixel 9 Call Notes feature will record and transcribe phone calls, and Google can use Gemini Nano to create a summary of these call logs.
The Pixel 8 supports a similar feature. Pixel 8 or Pixel 8a devices with Gemini Nano enabled can record and summarize conversations via the Recorder app. It is possible that the Call Notes feature will also be coming to Pixel 8 devices.
When will the Google Pixel 9 be introduced?
Google will unveil the Pixel 9 series (Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold) on August 13.
